“The Sabbath is the foundation stone of all Judaism, and naught is called ‘sign of the covenant’ between God and the children of Israel; Shabbat is a symbol of social justice and human dignity”
(Chaim Nachman Bialik , the Sabbath and the Jewish people , 1928 )
A bi-weekly study led by Rani Jaeger , Sundays 19:00 to 20:30 at Beit Tefilah Israeli (Bezalel Yaffe 4, TA) Starting on 13/10/13
Shabbat is the central theme of this year’s Beit Midrash. Shabbat is a topic rich in all areas of Jewish culture – law , legend, prayers, poetry , political thought , philosophy, and more. Our studies examine Shabbat-based ideas in Jewish literature from the Bible to the present day; and asks how these ideas are really expressed in our personal lives, community lives, and publicly.
Learning at Beit Tefilah is an outstanding opportunity to enrich you with the understanding of the main time we shared as a community.
